MV Salute is our classic motor cruiser, built for style, sophistication and comfort on Sydney Harbour. With a spacious open cockpit, a fully enclosed cabin and all-weather protection, she’s ideal for weddings, celebrations and transfers.

Common questions

How many guests can MV Salute take?

Up to 12 guests on the harbour (9 for offshore trips such as whale watching), ideal for intimate gatherings, weddings and celebrations.

Where can we board and get off?

We can pick up from almost every wharf in Sydney, including Darling Harbour, Barangaroo, Circular Quay, Woolloomooloo, Rose Bay, Watsons Bay, Manly and Balmoral. Wharf fees of $30 per wharf apply.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?

Yes, BYO is welcome with no surcharge. Crockery, cutlery, cups, serving equipment and eskies are included. Please bring your own ice, or order bags for $10 each in advance.

Is catering available?

Yes. Our gourmet food platter ($200) has in-season fruit, cheeses, meats, crackers, bread and more, and MV Salute has an on-board café menu.

What’s on board?

A galley with fridge, two built-in hidden eskies, coffee machine and microwave, a separate bathroom, Bluetooth sound, USB chargers, a 3000W inverter, and a marlin board with swim ladder.

What happens in bad weather?

MV Salute’s fully enclosed cabin gives all-weather protection. If conditions are unsafe, we’ll work with you to reschedule.

Is MV Salute good for weddings and transfers?

Yes: private charters, weddings, corporate cruises, meetings, sightseeing, whale watching (up to 9 guests) and transfers. See our Wedding Transfers package above.

Do public holiday surcharges apply?

No. Boxing Day charters are a minimum of 4 hours, and New Year’s Eve is 7 hours (6pm to 1am) at $10,500 including ice.

How far ahead should we book?

We recommend 4 to 6 weeks ahead, especially for weekends and summer. Last-minute bookings are welcome when we’re free.

What is the cancellation policy?

More than 21 days before your charter: full refund of any payments made. Less than 21 days: no refund, though we may offer to reschedule depending on availability. If the skipper decides conditions are unsafe, we’ll offer a full refund or reschedule at no extra cost. No-shows or late arrivals: no refund, so please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure.

What should we bring?

Sunscreen, swimwear, towels, and your drinks and snacks if you’re going BYO. Please no stiletto heels on board.
